However, in the midst of our search for answers, we tend to overlook the simplest and yet most powerful tool available to us: prayer.
Prayer has the ability to strengthen the bond between two spouses and nurture a deeper sense of connection and intimacy. It is the cornerstone of spiritual unity, allowing couples to invite God's presence and guidance into their marriage.
Let's explore ways to encourage praying together as a couple.

1. Create Sacred Moments
Just as physical intimacy requires a space where both partners can connect intimately, so does spiritual intimacy necessitate a dedicated time and place to come together in prayer. Establishing a sacred moment each day, whether it's in the morning, evening, or before bedtime, sets the stage for a prayerful connection. Mark this time on your shared calendar and treat it with the same importance you would give to any other commitment.
Biblical Reference: "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20).
By intentionally setting aside time for prayer, couples invite the presence of God into their marriage, strengthening their connection and fostering a deeper understanding of one another.
2. Create a Prayer Routine
Building a prayer routine helps couples establish a habit of consistent prayer, ensuring that the act becomes an essential part of their daily lives. Begin this journey by discussing your individual prayer needs and concerns with each other. Understand what personal needs, challenges, or dreams you both have and how you can support one another through prayer. Then, create a list of prayer points together and set aside time to bring these concerns before God as a united front.
