Three Lessons I Learnt By Navigating Divorce & Cult Life in my 20's [Ep 100]
Text Kylie a question to be featured on a future episode!
Well, I didn’t think I’d bring this to the podcast. I actually didn’t think I’d talk about this publicly at all. Mainly because it is a part of my story I have been trying for over a decade to forget… but as I get older I realise that in order to be the woman I was destined to be, I need to face my own baggage and heal - from the inside out. So today, for episode 100, I’m bringing this personal story to you. Please pour me a glass of wine.
I CHAT ABOUT:
- My childhood, first boyfriend and how I ended up vulnerable, sitting in the pews of what I thought was a church, but was really a cult.
- Three lessons I learn through this experience:
- The importance of not shying away from the hard situations in life and choosing our hard.
- People need to earn a seat at our table and don’t just get to be there by default because they’re ‘family’
- There are no such things as mistakes - and we are so much stronger than we ever give ourselves credit for!
