On the podcast, I talk with Jane Butler (Type 2) and Christy Knutson (Type 3), who helped me launch YEC back in 2017 and are now beginning a new venture called NEAR, a website designed to guide and assist people through serious illness, loss, and grief.
As a Type 2, Jane is focused on emotional support and hopes that people like what they're doing and feel cared for. Christy, a Type 3, focuses more on their measurable impact and success. Sometimes, they misunderstand each other, but ultimately, both unique perspectives contribute to their company's growth and success, especially when they remain curious about one another.
Join me and my friends as we talk about friendships, business building, and grief.
P.S.
Grief can be isolating, and people often struggle to help those facing challenges. NEAR offers practical support through a registry for gifts and comfort items for people facing illness and an online planning platform for coordinating help with tasks like yard work or childcare. It empowers individuals to ask for what they need during a crisis, providing a structured way for friends, family, and the community to show love and tangible support.
