Improving Education System in Peru

Carlos Rodriguez-Pestor, the founder of Intercorp, discusses the issues with the education system in Peru. Despite economic growth, public schools had low quality, low attendance, and poor engagement. Private schools that emerged were similarly ineffective. In response, Carlos and his team developed a system to change education, offering affordable, modern, and safe schools with academic excellence. The goal was to create sustainable and profitable schools that could scale and provide education to the emerging middle class.
