Trust & Thrive 138: Family Roles & Inner Child Healing - with Justin Martin, Registered Mental Health Intern
Justin Martin is a Registered Mental Health Intern in Orlando, Florida. He practices from a model of Internal Family Systems and works with individuals and couples.
In Justin's words: "I have a part of me that loves to write and create. This part expresses itself through poetry, short stories, speech, and spoken word. I also love music and movies and think it can be so powerful in accessing my parts. I’ve grown to love these parts of me by going to therapy myself and continuing to be curious and compassionate as I experience life. As a therapist, I try to embody these qualities as I walk with my clients towards them finding inner peace."
In this episode, we discuss family roles, coping mechanisms we may have developed in childhood, how children adapt to their environments, healing and facing our emotions, and more.
