Being a prior ELITE level athlete is NOT a necessity for working WITH elite level athletes😁!

It can feel tough for anyone that doesn’t come directly from an elite sports background to begin working in the field. But this may be especially true for those focused mostly on the SCIENCE 🧪 part.

Well, Robert Stanley managed to turn his passion for cycling 🚴 into a leading role for the USA Track Cycling team, where track he now works in a unique coaching role with his athletes.

In the 12th episode of The Training Science Podcast, Paul and Robert discuss his transition from amateur cycling passion, to studying, to academia, before AT THE SAME TIME becoming immersed as a full time practitioner and coach!

In particular, there is good level insight into how Rob applies a training philosophy backed by an analytical model for track cycling athletes.
