Deep dives
Understanding Semen Retention
Semen retention is often misunderstood in Western contexts as merely the avoidance of ejaculation. However, traditional practices view it as a holistic lifestyle that involves intentional management of life force and sexual energy. The importance lies not solely in refraining from ejaculation but in determining an ideal frequency that supports overall well-being. Establishing personal practices surrounding ejaculation frequency can lead to heightened clarity, improved motivation, and a more fulfilling experience when one does choose to ejaculate.
The Importance of a Strong 'Why'
Engaging in semen retention as a lifestyle requires a solid reason or purpose that drives the practice. Without a clear motivation, individuals may struggle to channel the buildup of sexual energy towards constructive activities. It emphasizes the necessity of directing heightened sexual energy into meaningful pursuits, whether they be creative, professional, or familial. Appreciating the significance of this practice allows individuals to enhance their impact on themselves and others, leading to a more intentional and fulfilled life.
Awareness of Energy Leaks
Effective semen retention encompasses not only physical abstention but also the awareness of how energy is metaphorically leaked in daily life. Activities such as excessive screen time, unhealthy habits, and mindless consumption can drain vital life force energy. Recognizing and addressing these energy leaks is vital for maintaining the charge built from retention practices. The holistic approach to retention involves evaluating lifestyle choices and prioritizing activities that foster energy conservation and cultivation.
Sexual Energy Transmutation Techniques
Transmuting sexual energy into productive outlets is a key component of semen retention. This involves transforming sexual desire into action—a process that can be achieved through various techniques such as physical exercise, creative projects, or personal development. Practices like visualization and mindful breathing can help integrate sexual energy positively, enhancing both personal growth and relationships. By implementing these methods, individuals can leverage their retained energy to achieve their goals and create meaningful connections in their lives.

Harnessing Sexual Energy: The Semen Retention Lifestyle
I just got back from an awesome workshop that changed my perspective on how to practice semen retention as a lifestyle. And in this video I'll first share some important key points about semen retention, and then you'll hear my own personal transformation story from the workshop.
*My personal story begins at 13:12 in this episode.
The workshop I went to was called Embodied Transformation, and it was put on by the Strozzi Institute - out in Petaluma, California, USA. The workshop itself was not sexual in nature at all. Most people there were business executives and/or professional coaches in some capacity. It was specifically geared towards personal transformation through working with somatic awareness and somatic practices.
And yes this relates to sex, because all of our sexual choices impact how we inhabit our bodies, and how we intentionally (or not) inhabit our bodies impacts how we have sex.
