Gary is a highly experienced Executive Chair and CEO with over 39 years of experience in building, leading, and growing financial services, insurance, pension, and health companies across 12 countries. He is currently the Executive Chair and CEO of North Star, a portfolio investment company that supports technology and financial services start-ups and developing businesses. He previously served as the Executive Chair and CEO of Seguros Monterrey New York Life Insurance in Mexico, where he now lives part of the year and continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director.

Gary's expertise includes licensing and market entry in Vietnam, China, India, Japan, and Korea. He is a member of several boards of directors, including SMNYL Mexico, and serves on various committees, including the Audit, Investment, and Reinsurance committees at Seguros Monterrey New York Life & Medical Insurance Company. Gary has a reputation for adapting rapidly to cultures, countries, and companies, and has a strong track record of delivering strong results. He also provides support, strategic advice, leadership development, and investment counsel through his involvement in various companies, such as Olympus Capital Asia, City Twig, and Future Family, among others.
