On April 8th the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) proposed a 0.46% increase to the existing Stress Test, raising the mortgage qualification rate from 4.79% to 5.25%. This will ultimately reduce people's buying power by 4.5% But in this environment, will home prices reduce by a similar amount?
