The process of becoming is all about choices. 

When women say, “Damn, Erika, how did you get that career/house/husband?!” Here's what I say, “I had to choose this for myself”. 

And they were hard choices. I have had my share of trauma in my life. Abuse, loss, grief. It would have been so much easier to numb out every night on social media, or stay in a job I hated. To stay miserable in general. 

Here's the truth,  we all have trauma and we all have choices to make.   So today I want to share with you how I decided to start being present in my choices, how those choices got me to where I am today, and how you can do the same.
