Ep. 91. Erika Buenaflor, M.A., J.D.: Mesoamerican Shamanism/Limpias/Soul Retrieval

Erika Buenaflor, M.A., J.D., has a master's degree in religious studies with a focus on Mesoamerican shamanism from the University of California at Riverside.  A practicing curandera for over 20 years, descended from a long line of grandmother curanderas, she has studied with curanderx in Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles and gives presentations on curanderismo in many settings, including UCLA.  She lives in Tijunga, California

In this podcast we discuss her new book Curanderismo: Soul Retrieval which is a step by step guide based on the ancient shamanic healing traditions of the Mexica and Maya. Buenaflor describes how to use the 5 cardinal directions to connect with lost soul fragments that have escaped during trauma or stressful situations, create the idea place for them to return, and ensure a lasting soul retrieval.
