Recently, a 43 year old listener sent in a question about how many embryos (statistically) she would need to freeze to have a significant chance at a live birth. Here's her question, "Statistically, how many embryos (day two or day three) would a 43 year old woman have to freeze to have one live birth? I know that everyone is different, but I'm trying to get a sense of math and attrition rate.
I am 43, almost 44. AMH is 0.4. I have DOR and Hashimoto's, and I'm being treated by an endocrinologist and functional doctor because of my DOR. My RE has recommended that we freeze day two embryos. I'm trying to see what I would need to bank to reach a statistically significant chance of having a live birth."
