Yes, you heard me correctly. I believe we as Christians are leaving our faith to the easy-to-read commentaries of life. Listening to all the things without the ONE thing, God's presence.
Now don't get me wrong. I, too, do all the above. But what I have recently challenged myself with is listening to God and hearing from Him directly.
And that means digging deep into His Word.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Digging deep is so sweet!When was the last time you knew God was present even though you didn't see Him?
Now how did you know that?
I believe God is challenging His people to know Him more, to become intimately connected to Him than ever before.
You and I were created for relationships. And God specifically wants a relationship with you.
However, busyness, bills, brokenness, laundry, dishes, and dinner, all get in the way of who God wants us to know.
You may know all the things in this physical world, but what about your Heavenly Father?
We cannot leave out God's word and say that we know God.
Now yes, our personal experiences are a part of our testimony. But that is only part of the story.
Digging deep is so sweet.
So let's begin...
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." ~ John 1:1I encourage you to dig deep into what this verse means to you. My prayer for you is that you will grow closer to God every day in every way. Not just when you have a 911 emergency, not when it's convenient, not when it's easy.
