But what you do in that situation and how you recover and rebound from the circumstance, determines the direction of how you proceed in life.
Unfortunately, many people live their every day looking backward. There is no vision to see what's possible.
In fact, looking backward actually can become a crutch keeping you from where you were headed before life happened.
Now with anything, there are always extreme circumstances and exceptions to the rule. And some of what happens in the past most definitely affects how you proceed in the present. However, your future depends on what you do today, not yesterday.
So really who cares if you could turn back time. What matters is where you are today and the direction you choose to always move forward.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Always move forward! If you allow yourself to remain trapped and imprisoned by your past, you will surely not have a future in the present. "Surely, there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off." ~ Proverbs 23:18 So don't strap yourself to what you no longer have control over. Create your now by always moving forward.- APPRECIATE YOUR JOURNEY. This is all about acknowledging what has happened, dealing with it from a perspective of learning, and then letting it go to pursue what's before you.
- PURSUE WHAT'S BEFORE YOU. This is where you get to make a difference in your every day. You can sit on the fence and watch the day go by and then repeat that every day. But until you accept the challenge to pursue what's before you, you will be leading from behind. And that's not what God has in store for you. You have many forks yet to take. So take them.
- TAKE A.I.M. Action ignites motivation. And this is where you get to shine in the storms and rainbows. You've got what it takes, but it's taking it. Doing the do. Going for what matters. Picking yourself up when you are down and out.
The path is there for the taking. Make today count; for greatness is around the corner.
