Meet Charlie: I am Co-founder of Podville Media, an HD video and audio media production studio located in Washington, DC. Podville Media began as Podcast Village, in a co-working office in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I had loved public speaking and acting in school and was tremendously excited about podcasting and what it could mean for communications and storytelling. As a result of my early experience, I am co-author of “Podcasting Made Simple” (on Amazon, but largely outdated due to software and hardware developments. However you can see my early podcast sketches in the book!).

Prior to Podville Media, I spent over 25 years in the DC/MD/VA commercial real estate market, most notably as a team member for planning, permitting, building and managing the two courses at Queenstown Harbor Golf, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Additionally, I served as president of both the Maryland Tourism Council and the National Golf Course Owner’s Association.

Podville has been up and sprinting now for over five years, and in 2023 we won three Tellys (the Tellys are in their 44th year) and have a show, Rap Stories, in the number one spot on Apple for podcasts in the music category. Podcasting has evolved so much!
