A new year is about to begin, and you may be setting goals.

Is it time for a refresher?

1) Goals should be more significant than where you are today. They should stretch you to reach another level. Items on your To-Do list are not goals.

2) Goals should be timely. While you may have many goals, only a few can demand your attention at any one time. Attempting to focus on too many goals simultaneously slows progress.

3) Big goals begin with decisive clarity and continue with strong commitment.

One more thing.

Be specific about your goals, how you describe them, and WHY you want to achieve them. You'll be far more likely to get what you want.
