In this episode, we have our expert guest, Andrea Donsky. She has been in the health and wellness space for 23 years. Andrea has expertise in being a Menopause Educator, researcher, and nutritionist. She is also the co-founder of Morphus, a company born from the desire to help women of age deal with the effects of menopause.
In her mid-20s, Andrea had a health problem. To figure out her condition, she started to go back to school, get a degree, and become a nutritionist. Sooner, Andrea fell in love and became passionate about healthy living.
At the age of 41, Andrea gave birth to her third child, not knowing she had been going through perimenopause since her 30s. For a long time, she did not know that she was going through the menopause stage until the symptoms showed and her suffering began. Now, Andrea is helping other women be educated on topics about menopause and how to deal with it.

- Based on research, 20% of women don't know what stage they're in.
- Perimenopause is the years before menopause. Depending on the individual, it can last anywhere from a couple of months to years.
- Menopause is once you've gone 365 days or 12 months without a cycle.
- Everything after menopause, which is technically that one day is considered to be post-menopause.
- There are over 100 different symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. Fatigue, brain fog, sleep issues, memory loss, and anxiety are the most common symptoms.
[16:05] Supporting Your Adrenal Glands Is Important, but How?
- When the ovaries are gone, the adrenal glands replace them, so nourishing them is important.
- Managing stress and cortisol levels is the number one way to support your adrenal glands.
- Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption.
- Just be mindful of what you put in and on your bodies.

- Focus on eating enough protein, and avoid carbohydrates.
- Eat vegetables and lower glycemic fruits like berries.
- Ensure you eat good quality oils instead of seed oils such as canola, corn, cottonseed, safflower, sunflower, soy, and grape seed.
- Stay hydrated. Drink water, decaf tea, or soup.
[35:53] What Are The Acceptable Substitutes for Artificial Sweeteners?
- Stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol are good replacement for artificial sweeteners.
- Even using good sugar replacement, make sure to balance everything in moderation.
- High fructose corn syrup, trans fat, monosodium glutamate, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, artificial colors, and certain preservatives are the things you want to avoid.

- Looking at the ingredients of the supplements is important because you want to make sure that it will work.

- We must supplement our diet because most of us aren't getting the necessary nutrients.
