Escalation and Stalemate

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified following a series of significant military engagements, particularly since the initiation of missile strikes by Hezbollah in support of Hamas on October 7. Despite heavy losses, including key leadership assassinations that have left the organization struggling to reorganize, a hurting stalemate appears to have emerged. Israeli forces have engaged in targeted strikes rather than a full-scale ground invasion, leading to a complex battlefield dynamic where Hezbollah retains some operational capability in southern Lebanon.
