This week on The Revolutionized Mind, I’m joined by the Founder and CEO of HomeTeam, Emily Huston. In this episode, Emily shares her personal journey through sports and what it felt like to retire from something that had shaped so much of her identity. We talk about how difficult it is to lose your structure, community, and connection after sport, and how it raises several questions that you often don’t have the answers to. But, these questions became the beginning of a new purpose for Emily as they led her to founding HomeTeam. HomeTeam is a platform designed to help athletes navigate life beyond the game. Emily highlights the realities of leaving competitive sports, the gap in support she saw for retired and injured athletes, and why creating a digital space for connection, mentorship, and shared growth felt so important. Together, we explore how HomeTeam is working to build the future of athlete-centred care.
