Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo 3939 Man Shall Not Live on Bread Alone
That reply is not just about hunger or sustenance. It's a declaration about the source of true life. Physical bread, mere sustenance, will not sustain us fully. Life itself draws from something higher, something eternal—God's word.

When We Demand Our Own BreadHow often do we approach God like that temptation?
We come with our desires, our "stones," hoping He'll just turn them into bread for us. We ask for answers that fit our timetable, for blessings that suit our preferences, and for control over our circumstances that comfort us.
But living by bread alone is a hollow existence. It's easy to confuse God's promises with our own plans. We want quick fixes, easy wins, or signs that confirm what we already decided. In these moments, we ask God to do what serves us, not what grows and stretches us.
But What If We Asked for God to Give Us the Desires of His Heart?Imagine flipping the script—asking God not to bless your own agenda but to birth the divine desires He places in your heart.
That sounds risky because it means surrender. It means stepping into uncertainty and patience. But it also means aligning yourself with the source of wisdom, purpose, and peace.
When we pursue God's desires, not just our hunger, life begins to shift. Our decisions become less about control and more about trust. Our actions grow out of faith, not fear.
"Walk by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Our hopes align with His promises, and our struggles gain meaning beyond temporary pain.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Man shall not live on bread alone! Breaking Bread With God, Not Crafting It Out of ControlAs the new year unfolds, here's a tough but essential question: Will you break bread with God—spending time in His Word, resting in His promises, and embracing His timing?
Or will you try to make your own bread—forcing solutions out of desperation, control, and frustration?
Jesus modeled something rare and revolutionary. In the wilderness, despite hunger and hardship, He chose obedience over expedience.
Later, He commands us directly in Matthew 4:10: "Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only."
That choice isn't about perfection but commitment—to trust God even when the easier path beckons.
What Are You Truly Hungry For?Take a moment to ask yourself:
- What desires drive the prayers I bring before God?
- Are they merely for comfort and security, or for the deeper calling He has placed on my life?
- Where do I need clarity—about my purpose, my decisions, or my faith?
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Final ThoughtLiving by every word from God's mouth means more than memorizing scripture or reciting verses. It means letting His truth sculpt your desires, shape your choices, and sustain you when the stones of life look scarce and hard.
This year, break bread with God. Let Him feed your soul first, and watch how every other hunger falls into place.
You don't just need bread to live—you need God's word to create your now and truly live.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
