On this episode of Essentially You, we're diving into one of my all-time favorite topics, self-care. This is one of my favourite topics because I continue to learn more about it every day, and it really has had a huge impact on my life, along with thousands of other women.

As women, we are raised to believe that our measure of success is how much we do for other people. However, in doing this we forget about the most important person of all – ourselves! Taking care of yourself is the key to your success, and can impact your health, energy, relationships, and so much more. 

We need to stop believing that self-care is selfish because it is not. By taking 30 minutes a day to recharge our batteries and get our mind and body in the right place, we will be able to be more productive, more successful, and all around happier people. 

Energy is everything, and we need to be fueled by our own happiness and fill our own cups first so that we can provide those we love with the same great energy. Taking care of ourselves means we are at our best when we need to take care of others, which is really our goal and nurturers.
