Suzie Bates is the GOAT of New Zealand women’s cricket. And just an awesome all-round human.

She first made the New Zealand team in 2006 when she was 19. Now she is 36 and still playing like the absolute boss that she is

She’s also a bloody talented basketballer and went to the Olympics in 2008 playing for the NZ side- we talk about that experience including how she ended up partying with the USA “Redeem team” including LeBron and Kobe.

We chat about her alter-ego "Betsy" who comes out after a couple of chardonnays, what Mick Jagger WASN’T wearing when she met him in his dressing room and much much more.

I was left with the impression that she has such a growth mindset that she doesn’t take a lot of time to pause and reflect on all the cool stuff she has achieved and experienced in her life. And there is so so much to reflect on!
