With a background as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Umar played a pivotal role in building NiceDay from the ground up. He spearheaded the development of a new tech stack, implementing modern engineering principles to enhance reliability and productivity. Umar fostered an engineering culture that encouraged exploration and creativity, empowering the team to contribute to the creation of a reliable product.

Umar's responsibilities extended to information security and compliance, leading the company through ISO 27001 / NEN 7510 audits, privacy audits, and external penetration tests to ensure compliance with Dutch public healthcare standards. Privacy by design was a fundamental aspect of the platform, prioritizing the end user's control over their data.

In his current role as Managing Director, Umar continues to drive the vision of NiceDay International. With his expertise in management, legal matters, and high-level process improvements, he ensures the company remains at the forefront of innovation. Umar's commitment to social impact and entrepreneurship shines through his work, as he strives to make mental healthcare accessible and effective for all.
