This week on The Revolutionized Mind, we are joined by award-winning mental health advocate, speaker, and podcast host, Ryan Forsyth. In this episode, Ryan shares some of his own personal experiences with mental illness and describes how his advocacy journey began. After posting his story to social media, he realized the power and importance of using his voice and platform to help contribute to meaningful change in our society. Conversely, we discuss some of the pressures and challenges that come from advocating on social media, including performative action, representation, and more. We also go into men's mental health and toxic masculinity and discuss how this is more than just "a man's issue". Trigger warning: suicide is talked about in this episode.
