The role we take on in our nuclear family may easily transfer into our parenting, and often informs the ways in which we treat our children. Subconsciously we may perpetuate these roles without fully recognizing what they are or where they come from. Largely because children in our society are viewed as immediately “being” wrong and therefore we may jump to these conclusions without even recognizing it’s happening.
