Closure. Former Blood Youth vocalist, Kaya Tarsus, is our guest on Episode 147 of Sappenin' Podcast! At Slam Dunk Festival 2021, Kaya preformed for the very last time with the UK hardcore-metal titans, before officially parting ways with the band due to a series of very personal metal health issues. For this episode, we were lucky enough to have been invited to speak with him backstage, literal moments, after stepping off stage for the final time. In this conversation, Kaya expresses his raw, honest and natural reaction to walking away from music (for the time being), we discuss everything from the thought process of leaving to how a series of life experiences got him to this moment, continuing to support the band going forward, helping them find a replacement in Harry Rule (God Complex), why their upcoming album release is his own artistic masterpiece, coping with a flood of unexpected support online, his favourite memories from the band, touring nightmares, dog poop, the time he got the seal of approval from members of Rage Against The Machine, life after music and more!
