In this conversation the focus is on conflict in marriage, and in the workplace, between any two people and specifically interracial couples. Lynne recommends people engage in conversations with those they are in conflict with, aiming to be vulnerable and staying open to listening. She describes her program, On the Matter of Race, which was created to teach white people about racism and how to dismantle it. The program was inspired by a request from two white women who wanted to understand the experiences of people of color, and how to be effective allies. Lynne clearly articulates the need for white people to understand their role in addressing and dismantling racism and has devoted her life to helping make that happen, at both the personal and societal levels.
