S2 E17 - Untangling ADHD and the stigma between ADHD and crime with DC Daley Jones
Get ready for an eye-opening episode with this week's guest Detective Daley Jones!
Daley embarked on a transformative journey when he was diagnosed with ADHD just over two years ago, followed by a subsequent diagnosis of Dyspraxia the following year. His commitment to the cause is remarkable, as he actively collaborates with the ADHD Alliance. Their mission…to extend support, knowledge and resources to our emergency services, while reshaping perceptions and approaches to ADHD within the Criminal Justice System.
Daley is truly an ADHD superhero, and his involvement extends to several charitable organisations, including ADHD Adults and ADHD Liberty.
Daley stands as a tireless advocate within our community, instigating tangible change for the future of ADHD.
In this episode, we'll uncover Daley's personal struggles to strength ADHD journey. Exploring the current policies within the Criminal Justice System regarding ADHD and discussing how each of us can contribute to his mission.
Our conversation left me utterly amazed once again, underlining the profound impact of untreated ADHD, not only on those directly affected but on society as a whole.
Daley has been heavily involved in a recent screening pilot for ADHD in the City of London Police - read more about it here
Daley and his colleague Carl Mumford recently spoke about ADHD in the Criminal Justice System at the National ADHD Foundation conference in Liverpool.
Daley is a trustee for the ADHD Adult charity and ADHD Liberty.

None of it ever did.
