One of my favorite topics and one of the reasons I started this podcast - mental health in motherhood. This week I talked with Lauren and Megan of the Matrescence about what things impact our mental health, how our mental health changes after becoming a mom, and how to support our mental health.
The Matrescence was born out of a desire to provide more maternal support after a professional and personal recognition in the gap of care for women. We combined our medical, Lauren RN, BSN, Psychiatric Mental Health NP, and business (Megan) backgrounds—with our experience as seasoned mothers of three— to change the landscape of maternal mental health. We provide integrative mental wellness support and community to and through motherhood. Our global community, actionable tools + expert-curated guides, and bimonthly peer support calls encourage women to embrace the transformation, embody forever wellness, and enrich their motherhood journey.
