The world of comics is as vast as it is diverse. From colorful, fanciful stories geared toward children to gritty, realistic artwork crafted for more a mature crowd, if it can be drawn, there's an audience for it. But what motivates an artist to pursue a particular style or genre? To put it another way: What draws them to it? Comic artist Barry Deutsch shares how he became passionate about cartooning, and why he creates comics about communities that are often overlooked and underserved.
