How hearing loss has led to the creation of a software technology that provides hearing solutions to hundreds of millions worldwide.

In today's episode, we are joined by Larry Gutterman, a co-founder of SonicCloud, a company that offers a software solution to let customers on both mobile and desktop platforms customize their audio experiences.

Larry shares his early days, how he got interested in animation and films, the pressure to succeed in becoming an engineer or physicist since the idea of doing films was unheard of back then, and how he got hired as an intern in Hollywood and eventually ended up working and directing popular films.

He also talks about how his hearing issues deteriorated over the years and from there how he started a startup idea about personalized audio and how it can help persons with and without hearing impairments. So all of the sudden, he switched from filmmaking to a tech startup!
