Thyroid health has a complex relationship with blood pressure. Despite common misconceptions, blood pressure issues can arise in both those with hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. The good news is that by working on the underlying root causes of thyroid conditions and strengthening the foundation of your health, you will often also see improvements in blood pressure.

Today, I’m excited to be joined by Dr. Ellie Campbell to take a deep dive into all things blood pressure. Dr. Campbell is a native Chicagoan and a graduate of the University of Illinois, the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Medical College of Georgia. Board-certified in Family Medicine for 30 years, she also holds certification from the American Board of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Campbell is a solo physician with specialty interests in interdisciplinary collaboration, Functional Medicine, reversing chronic disease, cardiovascular disease prevention, natural treatments for high blood pressure, and the many oral-systemic connections. She also enjoys live theater, gardening, healthy cooking, hiking, travel, and playtime with her husband and three adult daughters.
