Just ask the marketing people and they'll tell you what sells. Quick fixes. Magic pills. All-things 'reward-without-work' and of course, the ever-popular 'hack'. But in our quest for painless success, who are we becoming? Is our obsession with the easy path making us more resilient or less? More capable under pressure or less? Stronger or weaker? Healthier or unhealthier? More productive or less? Happier or sadder? In simple terms, is our endeavour to avoid all-things hard, working or not? In many ways, our obsession with avoiding things that are physically, mentally and emotionally challenging is a self-created prison.
