#27- Leadership and Mental Health at Work (with Dr. Peter Shipley)
This week, we are joined by Dr. Peter Shipley, who just retired from his position with the Ontario Provincial Police. Peter has been a large part of leadership and mental health research, strategy planning and implementation, and organizational culture development. In this episode, he shares some of his knowledge and expertise regarding the widely recognized 13 Psychosocial Factors for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. He talks about what they are, why they are important, and how they can be implemented by both employers and employees. He provides examples from his own work experience and reflects on how the culture within policing has changed immensely over the years. This episode is filled with information, wisdom, and insight.
