Encore Presentation – Real Life Faerie Stories
This is an encore presentation of the podcast’s second most popular episode! If you’ve ever wondered about faerie magic and if it’s possible that faeries are real, listen to this week’s show.
Can you get to know and communciate with them? Are they helfpul or scary? You are about to find out!
In this other-worldly and magical episode, my guest and I talk about faerie sightings and portals, communicating with faeries, faerie lore from Ireland and the difference between US Fae and those living Ireland.
You’re about to hear a bunch of Real Life stories and experiences that my guest Barbara Gallagher and I shared. Barb has had some pretty amazing experiences with the faeries here in the USA.
She was actually warned not to connect with faeries on her tip to Ireland. People said since there is a lot of let’s say bad blood between humans and the fae there. Lots of history where there was a war and the faeries, who lost and moved underground. In fact, another word for the faeries is Sidhe, which means mound. Isn’t that interesting?
Eventhough we aren’t going to get into any actual faerie magic, these stories are quite magical. To see the original post you can visit this page.
Barb told the story of how she opened a faerie portal in the woods and then saw it was still active a full year later. She also shared a healing experience where a fairie worked on her back that was completely fascinating.
As an herablist, Barb makes flower essences and herbal tinctures and explained how she is often guided by the plant spirits themselves. She’s a natural at speaking with the spirit world and the Fae.
Barb is also very encouraging that anyone can do this by holding a clear intention and having an open heart.
I asked what she gets out of this relationship and Barb explained how it fills up her heart with love and graititude. I thought maybe there was an experience of oneness as well and she agreed.
We talked about dryads – tree spirits, undines – water spirits, sylphs – air spirits and others. She’s even seem those sepia-colored spirits that artist and author Brian Froud depicts in his books.
I shared how I had read so many books about the Findhorn Garden in Scotland, famous for growing 40 cabbages in the 1970s and more on the difficult Scottish coastline by working with the nature spirits, plant devas, and elementals.
There are so many great books on the nature spirits. Tannis Halliwell has written many including My Summer with the Leprechauns -a favorite! Another classic is The Elves of Lilly Hill Farm by Penny Kelly.
At the end, Barb talks about how to talk with the Fae and other nature spirits and we wrap up one amazingly magical episode. I hope it inspires you to connect, enjoy faerie magic, and have some of your very own stories to tell.
