

Episode 34: Embrace The Negative And Live In The Positive With The 80/20 Rule
Our brains are wired to focus on the 20 percent of any situation that sucks, instead of focusing on the 80 percent that is good. If we want our lives to change, we have to live in the 80 percent of things we do love about our lives, partners, friendships, and jobs. We have been conditioned to believe that the grass is greener on the other side, but it’s simply not true (most of the time). There is no such thing as perfect. There is no perfect relationship, perfect friendship, or perfect job. It’s super common to look at other people’s circumstances and assume that “if only you had that, then things would be better or perfect”, but no matter how successful someone becomes, the 20 percent will always be there. The good news is, that when we rewire our brains to focus on the good (the 80 percent) instead of the negative (the 20 percent), our lives can change exponentially.
