Overcoming Personal Tragedy

Howard Lutnick’s journey is rooted in significant personal loss, having lost both of his parents by the age of 18. This tragic experience left him and his siblings with little guidance or support from extended family, compelling them to navigate life's challenges on their own. Despite these hardships, Lutnick's college, Haverford, reached out to him and offered support, enabling him to continue his education while taking care of his younger brother. This early adversity instilled in him a sense of resilience and the understanding that life must be lived to the fullest despite facing dire circumstances.
