Catch Ups In My Kitchen E.72 Is it healthy or just good marketing? With Sonny Drinkwater Co-Founder of Well Easy
In my kitchen this week I have Sonny Drinkwater Co-Founder of Well Easy the online health food store which makes healthy living accessible and affordable for everyone.
After going through his own health journey of restriction, counting calories and obsessing over food Sonny fell in love with ingredients, good quality food which nourishes your body and is full of goodness rather than some of the other products you may find in supermarkets today.
But as Sonny began searching for all the best products he noticed how expensive, confusing and difficult it was, he found that he was ordering products directly from various different brands and it was just inconvenient. This is where the idea for Well Easy came from, creating a one stop shop for all health and wellness products so you can get all you need in one box.
Through starting Well Easy Sonny has dived into research about supermarkets, how ultimately they are motivated by profit rather than providing us the best quality food. Sonny has also researched a lot into ultra-processed foods and how these are becoming more and more popular and readily available and also highly promoted rather than the cleaner and more natural alternatives.
This is an episode where we deep dive into the food system in the UK and how we all need to be going back to basics rather than turning for fast, convenient and ultimately unhealthy alternatives.
