Men do cry | redefining masculinity and men’s mental health
Hello lovely listeners! Happy Tuesday!
We had a request from a lovely listener who asked us to discuss the male experience of mental health. Also in the spirit of Movember - we thought it was an extremely important topic to put at the top of our list.
In this episode, we dive deep into why toxic masculinity makes it so incredibly difficult for men to open up, and we explore why it is so imperative that we allow a safe space for men to open up. We also offer insight into why men (stereotypically) tend to internalise and project their emotions into risk taking behaviours, aggression, addiction etc.
We offer some ideas + strategies into how to support mates, brothers, partners, fathers etc. who may be suffering from mental health.
