Folge 62: Die 100-Stunden-Arbeitswoche (mit Johannes Roth)

Kurz vor Veröffentlichung von Red Dead Redemption 2 hat Dan Houser, einer der Gründer von Rockstar Games, eine Kontroverse über die Arbeitszeiten in seiner Firma ausgelöst, als er in einem Vulture-Artikel über das Making of von RDR2, wie folgt zitiert wurde:

“We were working 100-hour weeks” several times in 2018

Daraufhin gab es eine Vielzahl von Meldungen diverser Rockstar-Mitarbeiter sowie sehr ausführliche Berichte über die Arbeitskultur, u.a. vom Spielejournalismus-Veteranen Jason Schreier.

Wir nehmen die Kontroverse zum Anlass anhand der Spielebranche generell über Arbeitsbedingungen zu reden. Dafür haben wir Johannes Roth von Mimimi Productions eingeladen und reden mit ihm sehr ausführlich über die Arbeitsweise in der Spielebranche und wie sie unter anderem durch „Games as a service“ versucht, angenehmere Arbeitsbedingungen zu schaffen.
