Ask The Egg Whisperers with Dr. Aimee and Dr. Catherine DeUgarte (Do sperm naturally fertilize the most mature egg?)

I truly love answering your questions during the Ask the Egg Whisperer sessions each week. Today on the podcast, I’m excited to share an episode that I recorded with my best friend (and fellow fertility doctor), Dr. Catherine DeUgarte. We answer some of your questions, and, in the beginning of the show I also thought it would be fun to quiz her on some of my favorite questions from patients. 

Be sure to tune in for a fun and insightful discussion which starts with me asking Dr. DeUgarte this question, ”Do sperm naturally fertilize the most mature egg? Or is it whichever egg the sperm reaches first?”

And then I crack myself up by giving my own answer, which is “Eggs are very picky. They’re only going to let the good sperm in.”
