Loss in life comes in a lot of different shapes, sizes, and forms and each one of us will experience multiple losses over a lifetime. And how we process those losses makes all the difference.

I spend time with Charisse, who is facing the loss of her youngest as he prepares to go to college. She’s struggling as it is, but also feeling pulled deeper into grief because this loss is triggering old losses that are now coming to the surface. We get into the complexities of the “empty nest,” how to navigate the complexities of that loss, and what to do when old losses are triggering and complicating new ones.
