Laurie Pinkerton is a Certified Physician Assistant who helps her patients discover true health through knowledge and lifestyle interventions. As a compassionate Physician Assistant offering virtual medical/telemedicine care at The Karlfeldt Center in Boise, Idaho, she is dedicated to empowering patients through dietary and lifestyle interventions alongside integrative and traditional medicine approaches. Laurie is also trained in metabolic medicine, which means that alongside her daily assessment and evaluation of patient history, concerns, and medications, she can also discuss the role of medication reduction, smart eating, and lifestyle change in prevention and reversal of metabolic disease with patients and their families. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Laurie came to Idaho to ski and learn about nutrition and organic farming by volunteering at small organic farms in Teton Valley. Laurie graduated in 2020 from the Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She is excited to help redefine medicine by offering lifestyle and holistic medical care through monthly programs with central focus on optimizing metabolism, hormones and health! She is currently practicing at The Karlfeldt Center, where she started incorporating integrative and alternative therapies into her practice alongside standard of care.
