Rosalind Picard has spent a career developing technology that can read and human emotion and has had a hand in technology that has led to a great deal of human flourishing and even saved lives. But her work has also highlighted the huge gap that still exists between humans and computers, how little we actually know about ourselves, and what amazing creatures we are.
