It's the comparison trap all over again. Now we could go down a rabbit hole and dissect what needs to change from your opinion of your personal reflection.
Today though, I want you to look at it from a different perspective.
In this season of life, who are you trying to impress?
- Spouse
- Children
- Best friend
- Mom
- An ex
- Group of friends
Now, what do they need from you that you don't already have within yourself?
- Confidence
- Go get 'em attitude
- More do than not
When we take a step back to understand the situation from a different lens, what seems impossible becomes what makes this possible.
You become the driver in your life instead of a passenger. So buckle up and get ready for a ride of a lifetime.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Buckle up!You have to ready yourself to do what needs to be done.
Now some people are looking back at their New Year's resolutions only to see how they failed. However, January is all about the plan so you can prepare and then produce.
You are not behind anyone. You set the tempo for what you need in your life. Don't second guess your decisions. Be precise and build consistency.
- PLAN -- Be specific about what you want to accomplish so you can search for what you need.
- PREPARE -- Gather your resources for the plan; what you need to execute the plan successfully or do the best of your ability.
- PRODUCE -- Take A.I.M. Action ignites motivation.
I've lived too many years looking in that mirror of comparison. That mirror needs to crumble! (And no, you won't have seven years of bad luck.)
In fact, you will give yourself the freedom to do what you need to do for yourself.
How awesome would that feel to make decisions for yourself, not based on someone else's mirror?
Plan. Prepare. Produce.
CHALLENGE: In the scope of this challenge, what are your attributes for healthy living?
- What do you like to do for yourself? This can't be work-related; it can benefit your work, but not be work.
- What can you do on a daily basis that brings you joy or satisfaction?
- How can you be intentional about one thing a week?
This is to remove the stigma of having to be like someone (comparison) and focus on the action that will bring you life.
No longer are you attached to someone else's outcome. You get to live your life the way you need to for your body in this season.
Buckle up! You got this!!
