Carla spent ten years studying to become a doctor and another eleven years in full practise. She then followed her heart once more and stepped down from it to fully embody this work. as we discuss her new adventure helping others make their own mind-body medicine.

About Carla: She a Physician and Functional Medicine Doctor whose life philosophy is empowerment through the application of science and connection to achieve higher states of health and happiness.

Following over a decade of clinical practice, she found herself becoming increasingly frustrated, achieving only temporary positive outcomes for her patients' energy and wellbeing, as well as her own. She would give all the right lifestyle advice, dish out the right pills and supplements when necessary, follow the right diet and exercise plan, only to experience an increasing sense of stress, dissatisfaction and disconnection. It was then I realised Carla was missing a huge part of the puzzle: The science of the Mind-Body Connection. To a skeptical scientist like heryself, previously this had seemed like a kind of 'woo woo' area. However, as she began to research leading edge sciences including epigenetics, neuroplasticity, psychoneuroimmunology and the placebo effect, she quickly realised not only was there a powerful measurable connection going on between our mind and body, but that once we know how, it's completely possible to align and synergise the mind and body to create higher states of vitality and wellbeing. ​ As a result of applying these elegant principles and practices into her own life, and sharing them with others, she began to witness the power of our bodies to truly transform from the inside out, without the need of any pills or potions to do this.
