A Transformation Story: Navigating Mental Health with a Cancer Diagnosis with Julie Rock
In 2020, an estimated 1,806,590 new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the United States. According to The National Cancer Institute: One in three people with cancer experience mental or emotional distress. In fact, according to mental health America, the rate of major depressive disorder is up to three times higher among cancer patients than in the general population.
Welcome to Normalize The Conversation, I am your host Francesca Reicherter and today I am joined by Julie Rock, a mom to 5, photographer, and breast cancer patient.
Join us as Julie bravely opens up about her cancer journey and how she has nurtured her mental health throughout it all.
