Focus on What You Control

Teach your children the fundamental lesson that in life, they can only control how they play. As they engage in sports, school, or work, emphasize that they do not control external factors like weather, the performance of teammates, teaching methods at school, or the actions of coworkers. The Stoics believed that our primary duty is to differentiate between what is within our control and what is not. Encourage your children to concentrate on their actions and efforts, rather than outcomes or others' opinions, as this perspective fosters resilience and personal responsibility.
