There are lots and lots of benefits about planning in the future. However, being in the present is also really important for your nervous system—reminding your nervous system, it's safe. It doesn't have to worry about the threats that it perceives in the past or in the future, because none of those threats exist when you are in the here and now.


On this episode of Building Resilience, I'm going to explain the explain a tool called "the five channels", originally coined by Bebe Hansen (if you like my interpretation, please check hers out too!). How can you figure out what channel is right for the right moment? And how can switching channels be a game changer?
