And who really wants to hang out all the dirty laundry? It's easy to talk about all the good, but the bad and challenging stuff is touchy.
However, that's what makes marriage so beautiful. Two people share themselves, all of themselves, to connect as one heart.
Now, yes you still are an individual. But your perspective changes. And if doesn't, maybe you need to take a hard look at what you see.

- Secure your spouse's heart. Here is where you put your spouse first, gain his/her trust, and serve with intention. If you are holding his/her heart, you are holding your heart. You don't look at your spouse from one sentence; you look at them from the whole.
- Appreciate your spouse's differences. You do not need to be like your spouse. So don't always try to minimalize what you don't like. See the benefits for you together.
- Love unconditionally. Neither you nor your spouse is going to be right, to make the perfect decisions, and never make mistakes, never falling short. So extend grace and be compassionate for your spouse as you love unconditionally.
- Engage daily with your spouse. And not with the same phrases and actions. Engagement needs to be spontaneous and intentional. Habitual actions are good, but intentionality is better.
